Built from the John Ranson plans, this 1:7.5 scale, 94″ wingspan Beaufighter is built from the plan pack supplier by Sarik Hobbies. Of traditional balsa/ply constitutions, the model is powered by a pair of Hacker A50 electric motors with 16″ 3-blade ‘Vario’ Props, mates to 125A Mezon controllers & twin 6s, 8000Mah LiPo’s. Retracts are by Electron mated to Robart oleo struts. The radio system is based around the new Powerbox ‘Pioneer’ with twin Spectrum receives & MKS servos all round. The entire mode is finished in our own L285 epoxy skinning resin & 48g sq/m glass cloth. The model is finished in an RAF Coastal Command colour scheme using a combination of solved based acrylic, enamel & Klass Kote epoxy paints.
