Custom Builds

Fighteraces were commissioned to build this 1/3 scale (147″ / 3.73m span) Mk.1 Spitfire. The model is designed & built entirely from scratch based around a fully detailed composite fuselage/engine cowling with additional composite moldings for the spinner spinner & underwing radiator fairings. The wings & tail surfaces are of traditional built up timber construction, finished in glass cloth & epoxy.  The model is power by an electric start ZDZ 250cc inline twin 2-stroke engine driving a 34″ Fiala prop. Guidance comes from Powerbox CORE with Futaba HV servos all round. Retracts come from Sierra Giant Scale with custom made 8″ wheels by ourselves. The model is highly detailed both inside & out with a fully detailed full depth cockpit interior & functional sliding canopy.
