Custom Builds

This model is being built based around the 1/5 scale plans from Vance Mosher, with laser cut short kit from Bob Holman. Plan built models are known to be overweight, requiring significant nose weight to achieve the desired CG, so Fighteraces are using the fuselage/nose & nacelles from the plan as ‘pattern’ in order to produce epoxy glass tooling & light weight vacuum bagged composite parts to significantly reduce the models overall weight. The wings & tail are being built as per plan, but simplified where possible, again in order to save weight where possible. The finished model will be electric powered with scratch built electric retracts.
