Established in the summer of 1999, Fighteraces are dedicated to high quality kits, plans & engines, retracts, associated accessories plus building & finishing materials for the scale builder. Based in a 1000sq ft workshop facility in Chester-le-Street in the North East of England, we ship worldwide with customers throughout Europe, Scandinavia & Iceland, the USA & Canada, South Africa, Australia & New Zealand. Phil Clark (Proprietor, pictured left) has over 30 years building and flying experience on models ranging from 12 inches to 16 feet wingspan, so you can be assured of a knowledgeable reply to all enquiries.
We are the UK & European agents for Warbirdcolors & Klass Kote paint, Century Jet Retracts as well as the renowned range of large scale plans from Jerry Bates in the USA.
In addition we supply the Zenoah & Valach range of petrol engines and accessories, together with Menz & Engel propellers. Your landing gear requirements are met by our range of Ultra Precision and Century Jet retracts, spool valves, air rams, air tanks, tubing and connectors.
We also supply a growing range of scale accessories to compliment many large scale Warbird kits, such as scale static props, ordnance & dummy exhaust stacks. To help with your construction needs, we offer a range of useful building and finishing materials for the traditional model builder. These include the ZAP range of Cyanoacrylate and epoxy adhesives, our own range of epoxy skinning/laminating resin & moulding materials, plus surface finishing & masking products.
If your building time is limited, we also offer a custom building and finishing service. Over the past 10 years, this service has been utilized by some of the top model display pilots both in the UK and the USA. Models can be built from kits, plans or to our own design. We also offer a finishing & renovation/repair service for part built or damaged models. Look at the ‘Custom Building’ page to see some of our past projects.
We don’t take the ‘shop’ to flying events, but the ‘Fighteraces Warbird Team’ can be seen flying at many of the premier UK Model events. We do however attend some of the indoor trade shows. This picture shows us at the Gaydon Motor Museum for the LMA trade event in October 2009.
